Banner Cards

Yesterday I went to the Royal Opera House with a friend and ended up having too much coffee during the breaks between plays. The result wasn't a surprise for me.....could not sleep!!
Oh well, so I decide to make some cards , since I have quite few birthdays coming soon.
Gathered some of my scraps (I love to put those to good use as much as I possibly can) , tools , glue etc and had some crafting fun on my bed!  Yeah... my son is kinda taking over my craft space to revise for his exams . Not complaining....

My cards were inspired by Lawn Fawn blog . I loved the little banners and the simplicity of the card. I often like simple cards and this was way too cute.....
So this is what I have made:-

I decided to add a butterfly to the top part of this one as I thought the banners were a bit too low. I think it looks better : )

Thanks for coming by : )

Upcycling is good!!

Today I decided to upcycle some junk mail envelopes that I've been saving for a while.
Nothing fancy , just wanted to use those envelopes for thing like sending a cheque to the kids school , letters to teachers etc..  but as they were originally , they looked ugly!
So , I covered them with pattern papers ( the ones that I didn't like much) and transformed those junk in something that I actually like : )   oh, and put those unloved papers to good use !  Yay!!

From this:-

To this : -

I will never run out of envelopes again!  : )

YES!

See you next time xx

Christmas cards and DVD holder

I made these DVD holders for my lovely boss this weekend using the concept of a pocket album.

Closure with velcro.

Also made this card with a more grown-up design.
And a Christmas wreath for my door! It was my first ever  and I am very happy with the result : )  All made with the Sizzix Tim Holtz die.
Thanks for visiting!

Some Christmas Projects

This bag was made with templates from My Time Made Easy and I used papers printed from Jessica Sprague/Heidi Swapp 12 Days of Christmas Collection. The ribbon is from Stampin'Up!
Nice for gift giving. Very fun and easy to make.

The card was made from Stampin'Up! cardstock, stamp and ribbon. The embossing is from Tim Holtz.

I used to think that all white cardstocks were the same, so always got the cheapest ones from local shops ....HOW WRONG WAS I!! ..  You totally change your mind after using the Whisper White from Stampin'Up! They are gorgeous! Very good for stamping.

I had so much fun making those pop-up cards!
I used the dies from Sizzix Karen Burniston and the stamps sets from Hero Arts and Lawn Fawn
